Keelperumballam Naganathar Temple, located in Keelperumballam town in Mayiladuthurai district of Tamil Nadu, India, is a Kethu temple among the Navagraha temples. It is a place of worship by the Nayanmars.

The temple is about 1900 years old and is one of the oldest temples in the region. The temple was built by the Chola kings. The story of the temple is this: When the gods and demons tried to extract nectar using a snake named 'Vasuki', she started spewing poison. Lord Shiva suffered by drinking the poison to save the world. So the snake god Vasuki, worried that Shiva had to suffer pain because of her, worshipped Lord Shiva to remove any evil that had occurred. Lord Shiva appeared in this temple and fulfilled her wish. The snake god Vasuki requested Lord Shiva to stay in this temple. Here the snake god appears in the form of a human body with a snake head. Here the serpent god (Ketu) is depicted in a separate shrine, worshipping Lord Shiva. Poojas are performed to Ketu during the 'Ragu Kalam' and 'Ema Kaandam' (different times of the day according to the Hindu calendar). Importance of the shrine: Ketu is in a separate shrine here. Worshipping here removes all the evils of the planet Ketu and benefits everyone.

If a person is placed in the direction of Ketu, which is considered a fickle planet, during childhood, he will be mischievous. If he is placed in his youth, he will have a fighting and progressive nature. He will have a great interest in spiritual and sacred matters.
